The Mission of this Role:
Visteon’s global Early Career Software program is a unique opportunity designed specifically for recent or soon-to-be software engineer graduates. It serves as a launching pad for your professional journey in the automotive technology field. Our RISE program aims to bridge the gap between your academic life and the professional world by providing you with the necessary resources to enhance your skills and expand your knowledge of the mobility technology industry.
As a member of our RISE program, you will undergo an extensive training course led by industry professionals. This training will help you transition smoothly into working alongside highly skilled engineering teams. Additionally, you will have the privilege of being mentored throughout this process.
By joining our program, you will have the chance to work on projects that shape the future of mobility for renowned automotive manufacturers. This hands-on experience will allow you to contribute to cutting-edge developments in the industry.

Key Objectives of this Role:
Focus on learning embedded and automotive technologies. Apply the recently acquired knowledge to understand software requirements, specifications, and design. Create working software according to project deadlines.
Key Performance Indicators:
Successful hires will be evaluated based on their ability to analyze and resolve software issues independently. Another key metric will be measuring task completion on software implementations.
Adherence to quality standards and verification activities will bring success to the employee’s professional development.
Key Year One Deliverables:
The developer should be evaluated highly on their performance and must be successfully integrated into the respective technical team domain.
Qualification, Experience and Skills:
- Ongoing or completed Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred);
- Automotive software development experience is preferred or equivalent field;
- Good level of proficiency in programming languages (C, C++, Java, etc.);
- Knowledge of modern automotive features and functionalities;
- Familiarity with software development processes, tools, and methodologies (Jira, Git, etc.);
- Familiarity with CI and build systems (Make, CMake, debuggers);
- Understanding of Agile and SCRUM methodologies;
- Understanding of software code standards and quality practices;
- Understanding of operating systems and networking (processes, threads, file systems, TCP/IP protocols etc.).
