About the role
Due to the growth of our trading business, we are currently looking for a highly motivated professional to join our team as a Back Office Specialist. In this role you’ll be responsible for all back office activities related to Axpo Bulgaria’s trading business and will take an active part in shaping the processes in that area.

What you will do

  • Create, review and optimize Back Office processes for Axpo Bulgaria
  • Perform back office activities related to the Axpo Bulgaria Trading role:
    • Confirmation matching
    • Deal/fee booking in the trading system, deal check and validation
    • Financial settlement and reporting for the Accounting department
    • Check and confirm invoices for payment
  • Prepare and submit reports for gas and power trading activities towards the respective country authorities on regular basis
  • Actively communicate with key external stakeholders such as Energy Regulators, local country legal advisors as well as intermediators
  • Timely and accurate processing of reporting and tax data in the internal trading as well as accounting systems
  • Daily collaboration with internal stakeholders in regards to data extraction, quality check, compliance and IT support
  • Inform the Team about market changes and initiate measures in order to implement changes correctly and in time
  • Support the process of implementation of new tasks
  • Update training materials and check lists
  • To support the Back office team with other tasks

What you bring and who you are

  • University degree in Economics/Engineer or related field
  • 3+ years of professional experience in the area of data management and/or reporting ideally in the Energy sector
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, ability for multitasking
  • Very good knowledge in MS Office (especially Excel). Basic/ Advanced knowledge in ENDUR or other relevant Trading Platforms is a plus
  • Self-management and problem solving skills
  • Excellent command of English language. Second foreign language shall be considered as an advantage
