About the role
As a Back Office trainee you will gain knowledge and experience in the different areas of Back office for an energy trading company. You will receive the necessary training and mentoring and in the course of three 6-month rotations cycles will get the opportunity to support the daily activities of our Back Office, Financial Settlement and Transactions Management teams.

What you will do

  • Take active participation in training initiatives which provide introduction to the deal life cycle of an energy trading business
  • Gain knowledge and understanding of the processes in the departments performing Back office activities
  • Support the operations of the Back Office, Financial Settlement and Transactions Management teams by performing various tasks and activities such as confirmation matching, checks, reconciliations, EMIR/REMIT reporting, handling of incoming investigations and clarification requests
  • Show proactive attitude - make suggestions for improvements and optimizations
  • Take advantage of networking opportunities within the company to expand the scope of knowledge and gain new experience

Who you are and what you bring 

  • Completed at least Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Business Administration, Information Technology or related field
  • Well-developed analytical, numerical and logical thinking
  • Excellent academic track record
  • Responsible with ability to prioritize and manage one's time
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Pro-active attitude and willingness to learn
  • Basic programming skills will be a strong plus (ex: SQL, VBA, Python)
  • Fluent English; other languages will be considered an advantage
