The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is seeking an enthusiastic Recruitment Specialist with social and digital media and online sourcing expertise. The Specialist will work with UNEP to position the organization as an employer of choice and to attract passionate environmental specialists from all fields and with a focus on increasing applicant diversity from underrepresented regional groups.
The position is an International United Nations Volunteer Specialist position and is under the overall supervision of the Chief of Human Resources in the Corporate Services Division, at the UN Environment Programme headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya, which is a UN Headquarters city. It is an opportunity to contribute directly to UNEP’s mandate to find solutions to the root causes of the triple planetary crises: climate change, nature and biodiversity loss, and pollution.
Our ideal candidate has a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), three years of work experience, with some experience required in either human resources or marketing and communications, e.g. recruitment, talent acquisition, candidate sourcing, branding, marketing; proficiency in digital sourcing strategies such as digital recruitment platforms and social medial experience; and, excellent communication abilities.
